Chapter Philanthropy and Service
"Think Pink.Think Zeta."
Zeta Tau Alpha's are passionate about their philanthropy, breast cancer education, and awareness. Each fall, the chapter hosts a Think Pink Week during the month of October, as well as covering UofL's campus in pink! Sisters hand out flyers and pink ribbons, showing their dedication to our national philanthropy, breast cancer education, and awareness.
Our largest philanthropic event is Big Man on Campus. Our 4th Annual Big Man On Campus is a fundraising event that culminates in a male beauty pageant, hosted on March 28, 2020. Most Greek Life organizations on campus participate by choosing one male to represent their organization and participate in the pageant. This includes swimwear, formalwear, talent, as well as the question portion of the event. In 2019, the Beta Lambda Chapter was able to raise over $17,000.
Along with our annual events, ZTA also participates in several other philanthropic opportunities throughout the year. This past year, we volunteered at the American Cancer Society's Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, crafted wreaths to deliver to cancer patient's hospital rooms, had sisters visit a local nursing home, donated clothes and various other items to send to people in need, and attended many other philanthropic events hosted by UofL's community.
